"Which South African coins do you buy"
We buy all Gold Coins. These are the Krugerrands, the Protea and Natura series, and the R1 and R2 gold coins.
We buy all silver coins pre-dating 1964. We will also buy the R1 silver coins between 1965 and 1969 (and some up to 1976)
Foreign gold and silver coins we have to assess and examine.
"How can I determine whether my coin is rare or valuable?"
Assess your coin’s rarity and value by considering its year of minting, mintage numbers, condition (grade), historical significance, and demand among collectors. Consulting reputable coin catalogues or a professional numismatist is recommended for accurate valuation.

"Why is the Krugerrand in such demand"
The Krugerrand is a gold bullion coin first minted in 1967 by the South African Mint. It is significant for being the world’s first modern bullion coin and is highly prized by collectors and investors for its gold content and historical legacy.
"Do you buy notes"
Yes, we do, but only if the notes were not in circulation with no blemishes, in crisp condition and has not been folded. It also depends on the scarcity of the note. What adds additional value is a number of uncirculated notes where the serial numbers are in sequential order.,
"I have old coins. Do you buy them"
We do buy gold and silver coins. We do not buy silver coins that were minted after 1964. The reason is that all the silver coins that were minted after 1964 contains nickel and not silver. There are a few exceptions such as the R1 coins between 1965 and 1969, or when not many of a certain coin were minted.
Copper or the “brown” coins we do not buy.
The R5 coins we do not buy. Millions were minted and they still are only worth there face value and can still be used.
